Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Face Swapper collects, how it is used, and the controls you have over your data.
1. What We Collect
We collect a minimal set of information to provide and improve our service:
- Account data - Email address and password hash when you create an account.
- Usage data - Pages visited, tool interactions, and feature usage, collected via server logs and analytics cookies.
- Payment data - If you purchase a paid plan, payment details are handled by our payment processor (see Section 8) and are not stored on our servers.
- Support communications - Messages you send to us via the contact form or email.
- Uploaded images - See Section 2 for full details on how images are handled.
2. How Images Are Processed
When you upload a photo or video to use our face swap or image tools, the file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our processing servers. The image is processed in memory by our AI pipeline and the result is returned to your browser.
We do not use your uploaded images to train machine learning models. We do not share your images with third parties except where strictly necessary to complete processing (e.g., a contracted cloud compute provider operating under a data processing agreement).
3. How Long Uploads Are Kept
Uploaded files and processed results are stored temporarily to allow you to download your result. All uploaded images and output files are automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload, regardless of whether the result was downloaded. No manual deletion request is required.
If you are a logged-in user and choose to save results to your account history, those files are retained until you delete them or close your account.
4. No Public Gallery
We do not display your uploaded or processed images in any public gallery, showcase, or feed. Your images are private to you. Other users cannot see your uploads or results.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your data.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly by contacting us at our contact page.
6. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies - Required for the site to function (session management, CSRF protection).
- Analytics cookies - Help us understand how the site is used in aggregate so we can improve it. No personally identifiable information is sent.
- Preference cookies - Remember your settings (e.g., dark mode).
You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings at any time.
7. Payment Processors
Paid plan subscriptions are processed by a third-party payment processor (payment processor details will be listed here once billing is live). When you purchase a plan, you are subject to the payment processor's privacy policy in addition to ours. We receive only a transaction confirmation and masked card details; we never see or store your full card number.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond within 30 days.
